If you're reading this, you're probably standing in your garage, staring at a car that's either running beautifully or sitting on jack stands with half the engine removed. Maybe you're in the middle of a restoration that started three years ago. Maybe you just bought a shell and have grand plans. Maybe your project is your daily driver and you're trying to keep it on the road while upgrading everything.
This is the place for all of that.
The Build Bay is a community for builders who think in terms of months and years, not hours and weekends. We're not here for quick wins or Instagram posts. We're here to document the process, share the failures, and celebrate the breakthroughs – because every project has a story.
And we want to hear yours.
One Photo, One Sentence
That's all it takes to introduce yourself. No build thread required – just a single photo of your current project and one sentence telling us what it is.
Running or not. Clean or crusty. Full of promise or full of parts. It doesn't matter.
Post a photo of your car. Post a photo of your engine on a stand. Post a photo of the shell you just dragged home from a barn. Post a photo of your garage with the car buried under tarps.
And tell us, in one sentence, what you're working on.
Why One Sentence?
Because we know you're busy building. We know you have a thousand things to do and a limited amount of time to document them. We're not asking for a full build write‑up here – that's what the Build Journals section is for.
This thread is about:
Putting your project on the map
Finding others with similar builds
Having a place to say "this is what I'm doing" without the pressure of writing a full thread
Seeing the incredible variety of cars and builds that make up this community
After you post here, feel free to start a Build Journal for your car. But if you're not ready for that, if you just want to dip your toes in, this is the place.
What to Include
One photo: It can be the car, the engine bay, the welding cart, the garage, the pile of parts, or even a screenshot of your Excel spreadsheet (you know you have one). Use a hosting service if you need to, or upload directly if the forum allows.
One sentence: Tell us:
The car (year, model, base platform)
The goal (track car, daily driver, show car, restomod, drift car, rally car, etc.)
The current status (running, in pieces, waiting for parts, almost done, never done)

Keep the photo size reasonable (we'll have guidelines on dimensions and filesize to keep the thread load manageable).
Be kind – this is the welcome thread, not a roasting thread.
